Sphaeralcea: from the Greek sphaira, “a sphere,” and alcea, “a mallow”; a name derived from the spherical fruit
Coccinea: meaning “scarlet”
Mallow family: Malvaceae

Parthenium integrifolium L.
other common names: American feverfew, feverfew
Parthenium: from Greek parthenos, for “virgin,” referring to the infertile disk flowers. It is also the Greek name for another plant.
Integrifolium: from Latin, meaning “entire-leaved”
Daisy family: Asteraceae (Compositae)
